My post disappeared.
When you say starting over. Do you mean commit to diet and exercise or do you mean a revision to sleeve or ds?

I'm glad to see how many of you have had success. Unfortunately I am not one of you...
I have been too tight, to loose and unable to get to the sweet spot. I lost weight for a while, but only because I was forcing myself not to eat. When I started eating again I fell way off the wagon! Entirely too much fast food - life is busy and I had a hard time planning my meals ahead of time. Then my gym went out of business! I could try to blame other things, but ultimately it is my responsibility.
I had an endoscope last week to make sure everything is ok with my band, which it is. Right now I have 0cc in the band. I'm debating whether to wait after the holidays to start over or just do it now. Any thoughts?

I did have my large colon removed on June 7th, 2011. I am down to 105 pounds and a size 2 and 0. There isn't a road map for me. I cannot find 1 person that has had WLS and their large colon removed. I fight to keep my weight at 105. Everything I eat passes through within 3-4 hours and is only as digested as much as I chewed my food. I do not absorb nutrition or my vitamins. I get anemia and have fainted twice and am very lightheaded when I stand up. It feels like I get up and leave my head behind and I have to hold on to anything I can to keep from passing out.
The RNY diet and the diet for colon removal are opposite. What you can eat on one you cannot eat on the other and visa versa.
All the water I drink passes straight to my small intestine and I go 20-30 times a day with explosive watery diarrhea. Imagine having to clean the toilet every time you go. Also if I plan on leaving the house I must do it in the morning before eating or drinking. The first time I eat or drink starts the daily cycle of going.
I dump much more with the two surgeries and it is worse. I am tired, weak and fatigued. I am in bed by 8 pm. The other day I cried and cried because I don't want to feel like this. I gave in to feeling sorry for myself for the first time. I even think sometimes the colon surgery has marked the end of me and that I will never be well again. It's hard not to be able to share that with anyone.
I have had a difficult time with my children. They don't like that mom is much smaller than they are and criticize me for being thin. They can't understand I am not this thin on purpose.
My WLS and Gastric Surgeon both told me things will be more complicated for me. I am trying hard to work around the issues. I went out of town and was not able to eat until 3 pm when I returned home. I did drink water and that made us have to stop 4 times each way for a 2 1/2 hour drive. I went 5 times in an hour and a half at my in-laws and have to carry wipes to clean their toilets. When they heard I was making my first trip out they wanted us to meet them at Bob Evans and I told them I could not eat until I got back home. My father in law said I could go and watch them eat or stay at their house. They don't get it.
Well that is about it. I don't know where I fit in.

Topic: Hi all! 1½ yr update =)
So it seems I only come on here once or twice every few months, read up on posts, don't usually post myself =P
I'm doing well. Lost a bunch, slowed down, problems at home.....normal stuff, right? =)
My hubby, two kids, three cats and I moved from Oregon back to my home of Virginia in June. We've been living with my sister and brother-in-law. Lost one of our cats to a severe infection (started as viral, added bacterial and his age and it was NOT a good combination) The last week of May I had my one year post-op appt with my doctor. I weighed 237lbs, down from 297 the day of surgery and 327 from January 2010. The Dr. I saw was very happy with my loss.
I also had like 8 vials of blood drawn to test everything! All was good except for high D. I had been taking 10,000iu D daily. She told me to stop for two weeks, then only take 5000 a day. Everything else was normal (and not low normal....normal normal or high normal).
Since moving here to VA, I have lost more. Just weighed in at 213 last week at a dr appt for my thyroid. So 20lbs since moving. (237lbs 3 days before moving)
I've also tried helping my obese sis and BIL =) I got my sister to switch to DIET Mtn Dew...hard to do!!! BIL has IBS and frequent heartburn and diet and stuff like coke zero give him BAD heartburn, but he tried switching. They also use nosalt to cut sodium, light ranch, and anything lower fat/lower salt that we use ourselves! She's lost about 15lbs or so since I've been here =)
Yesterday I went to my home town to visit a friend. Took a pic....hopefully it will show up in this post, hehe. If not, I just uploaded it into my profile =) I'm the one on the right. My wedding rings fall off of my ring finger, so they are on my middle finger instead. I cried the first time they fell off =( Such a weird thing to cry about, but I'm a sap ;)
