Is a clear liquid diet the day before pretty common? I am on a regular liquid diet till my surgery on Monday but I don't recall anything about the day before needing to be clear liquids. Wondering if I should check that out or if it's just some programs that make you do it.

Yep, all your feelings are normal. I kept telling my son (youngest is 28) make sure to take care of my dog if something should happen to me. He replied back, "Mom, you can choose not to do this, go to work and get hit by a truck". So follow what you have wanted to do and get this done. Gonna be there to help you when you get home. And he has been my constant help..
And I still remember the moment I woke up from the surgery. There was warm blankets around my head and shoulders, and I knew at that moment everything was fine. Painful, but fine.

Not sure I can help. Just think of your tiny liver and how hard and non fatty it will be for the surgeon. That was the only thing that kept me on track.

Pretty much the same here too. Kept busy with work. Worked up til the day of my surgery. The day I went in I was 10lbs less than what was requested. I too was afraid somebody's cold or flub bug was gonna get me, so I kept the Vit C going all week; and kept the germ killer hand gel on me. But time went by and now I am on the other side. I thnk I feel hungry late at night now, but my stage II diet is enough during the day. Have no real sensation of "full" yet. I am sure that will come with time. Sometimes clear soup broth helps, but not a whole lot. Its just a rough day. Sorry. Lots of water. Be waiting for you to post your home....good luck.
