Still in hospital myself, walking around good but got little to no sleep in the ICU last night so glad to still be here. Moved to medical floor now and back drinking finally.  But sitting up in bed and laying back down make me want to cry.  Glad to hear you are doing so well.  Will  post again soon.  Its nappy time with my drugs.

Just a quick note...I am still in the liquid stage, so I pureed some chicken enchalada soup my son had brought home from safeway.  Wow was it good.  I hope it continues to agree with me...well, atleast for this afternoon.  Only had 1/4 c though..but I could have done more...lol

Welcome home.  Hope you go thru this part easily.  For the most part it is just healing and following orders.  Feel better soon.

So sorry to hear about your kitty... they are members of our family and that is always so hard.  But glad to hear that your surgery went so well.

I just got home from mine as well... we'll both be on the losers bench now !

I think the ladies at St. Francis Hopsital in Federal Way, WA are angels.  What a great staff, I got 5 Star hotel treatment (as my son in law pointed out, they charged me more than a 5 Star hotel would), but anyway what a great hospital experience.

I had my RNY with 70" of intestine bypasses - I asked, for some off reason I wanted to know - had my hernia repaired and had my gallbladder removed.  I have some whicked nausea yesterday, but once they finally found the right drug to try, I was a new woman in 5 minutes !

I had some great ladies from the local support group come visit me - that was awesome, had some good friends come by later...  you know when they're good friends, when they hold your barf bag  ...

Had some issues with my electrolites this morning, so am on some medication for that, but other than that, I'm in great shape and good spirits.  Going to grab some pain medication in a few minutes and take a nap, but wanted to let everyone know that I am out of the hospital, doing very well and very pleased with my decision !!

1st of all sorry for the loss of you kitty.  But very glad you are on the mend.  Sounds like things went well with your surgery.  Now start the sip, sip, sip, walk, walk, walk routine and join the crowd.  Happy for you.

Wow.  I can't believe it's actually done and over with.  This was a long time coming.

My surgery went very well, no problems.  Had a small hiatal hernia that he fixed with a couple of stitches.  I never had any problems with it, so that was surprising to me.

Sad note - Monday morning as I was getting ready to leave for the hospital, I was feeling so confident and happy.  Not scared or nervous or anything.  Well, I went downstairs to get some laundry from the dryer and I found my cat dead on the floor .  It was AWFUL and shook me to the core.  He was 10 yrs old and overweight and had been coughing earlier in the evening.  Sigh.  Well, that certainly was not a good start to this whole thing and I was so upset - but I did my best to try to calm myself down before having to go into surgery.

I miss him so much - I have my other furbaby, MJ, a 10 yr old terrier mix to love on.  I am looking forward to feeling better and getting this show on the road.  Thank god for this website and good drugs!!  I am feeling very positive and so far have no buyer's remorse.  Oh and I didn't get a drainage tube (yay) - my incisions were glued - and I have a ON-Q Pain buster.

Really?  I can't guzzle anything down but I don't have to sip.  It's weird though because I feel like I'm full longer already so that's confusing.  Maybe it's because I'm 2 weeks out?
