EEWW. Some people have health issues that wont let them do it like the BL. Some people just cant do it, and yes WLS is an easy out at first but we still need to work on it just as hard as anyone else does.Don't let jerks like that bother you. Your better then them.

I had my surgery yesturday also and I just got home tonight and im glad to be home finally. I thought they were going to cancel the surgery because I was sick but they went ahead and did it. I think thats what got me through the night thinking they were going to cancel it. But, im glad to be on the losers bench now. Glad to see all the newbies along with me!! Good luck to us all.

Just had a run in with a co worker. This girl has done some seriously risky behavior and I have never judged her, never said a negative word. She was upset I didn't tell her about my surgery beforehand and she said it was because I knew she wouldn't approve? Ummm, no, I didn't know you wouldn't APPROVE. She then went on to say why couldn't I do this with diet and exericse, because the people on BIGGEST LOSER DO IT. I was stunned. What an idiot. Of course,s he's never had a weight problem, so I'm basically avoiding her as much as possible.

Topic: surgery 1 week out and just got home

Ok, my surgery was one week ago today. Just got home today....:( I had the Duodenal Switch and when things werent going my way, all everyone kept telling me in the hospital is that "you had the most comprehensive and extensive surgery we do right now, so this can happen." Well, to say the least I was thinking "what in the **** have i done to myself????" I want my old self back now and quickly. I want to leave the hospital and go to Cracker Barrell for god's sake. But no, I didn't get my old body back and I had a week that was full of strange and surprising occurrences. Apparently, I had some extensive swelling where the ileum bowell was re-routed. This meant that I was only getting in around 7-9oz of fluid for the first days and I was supposed to be getting in at least 64oz and going home. That is not what happened. I will right more in the near future. Just tired and thinking i will go to bed soon. Wondering if anyone of you have had this problem?

Yesterday after i was rushed to the dr. they gave me a script for zofran and OMG i feel like new. Now i can say this is the best thing i ever did for myself.

I day dream all day about foods i can't have. I bought a low cal recipie book and OMG most of the stuff in their looks amazing. My mouth actually waters (the same way it used to water for sour patch kids) lol.

My mom bought me a couple cans of soup today. She got cream of mushroom, cream of broccoli, cream of chicken, and cream of potato..I put it in the blender with a ton of milk and i can actually drink it out of a straw but it is still filling and good..
