My NUT told me yesterday that I should be sitting up for 10 minutes after.
But that is just my NUT.
Good luck to you you are already post op.
I am just starting Monday my LSD diet pre-op.

I have two kids. Isaac will be 4 in May and Sylvia will be 3 in August! (15 months apart) and they have TONS of toys! They've been really good this week and not dumping their toy buckets. If they do that, I won't have anywhere to walk unless it's outside...and that involves getting dressed, rofl!
Karen ~ Had surgery 4-13-10!! Lost 30lbs in 3months pre-op
Highest 350 ~ surgery weight 297.5 ~ current 195 ~ goal 175 (August 2012)

My surgery is on the 28th too!!! Best of luck.

To prepare I've purchased jello packets, V8 fruit juice (for when it's allowed) and of course I have my protein powder.  My mom really recommends broth because she said she got sick of the cold, sweet stuff so I need to go get some of that.  I have 4 or 5 magazines that I haven't cracked because I want to read them while I'm home on leave. Oh yeah!  I bought Gas-X Thin strips that dissolve because I've heard the gas from the surgery can be worse than any surgical pain.

I wish you the very best of luck!!! This is the beginning of the rest of our lives! :D

Ummm...the people on Biggest Loser get to step away from their lives, go live on a ranch with personal trainers and a WHOLE gym in their backyard.  They get their meals prepared and they have the incentive of winning $$$!!! Other people have to go to a full time job, sometimes a job with people like her to deal with, they have STRESS and bills and not to mention a family at home to take care of.  I would totally brush off her comments.  I've had people tell me that I took the easy way out and I say that until they walk a mile in my shoes they will never know what it's like to be me or make my decisions.

The first couple days in the hospital I had the hiccups pretty bad too when I drank.  They went away though.  ;-)

I had my surgery yesterday but they are keeping me one more day ust to make sure everything is ok - protocol you know.

I feel very lucky because I haven't had any pain really and I haven't had any pain meds for about four hours. The gas doesn't feel great but manageable.

I am a bit worried that everything is going too well, if you know what I mean. Liquids are no problem and have only had one minor nausea spell. Compared to my c-section this has been sooo much easier.

Congrats to all for getting through - so many good things are ahead of us- YEAH!!!!!

For the love of Pete... it never ceases to amaze me how self absorbed people can be...or how stupid they sound when saying their 2 cents. Who gives a flying fig what her opinion is. Of course you don't share the EXTREMELY personal and PRIVATE decision, you don't share because of people just like her. She wouldn't approve...? What, not that you care. She wants you to consult with her...not like you didn't have to jump though enough hoops without stupid co workers...that is idiotic of her. People like that really get my dander up! I have a friend who will not speak to me anymore because I didn't consult her before having RNY. My jaw dropped when she told me that. I don't want friends or aquaintences like that and I am sure you don't either. You are a smart woman...you did all that research, travelled to another country, paid lots of money and she thinks it is "the easy way out?" The biggest loser comment...only a moron would say that. They have trainers, supervision, accountability, chefs, baby sitting, supportive family and spouses.
KICK HER TO THE CURB!
Boy, people like that REALLY TICK ME OFF in the worst way! You are doing great...Keep up the good work and we will keep supporting you.
