My surgery date is 4-28-10 and I only have 1 day of the liquid diet before surgery, but 2 weeks of liquid diet after surgery. I normally get headaches anyways so I am sure I will not like the headaches that will come with it. Can you take anything for the headaches? Maybe liquid form? I hope so! hheadaches Suck!

Too bad that didn't get caught before surgery. Sorry you had to double up on the surgery part, but now you can really heal....and not worry about the gallbladder again. Get better soon..

I'm glad you found something that works for you. I had a recliner in the hospital and hotel. By the time I got home, I was good to lay on my side. Otherwise, I was propped up in the bed with like three big pillows.! lol The things we do.

I am glad you are home and updated us. I wish they would just take the gallbladders out during WLS. My doc left mine in and I already have tons of gallstones. It would have been really easy since my surgery was open but like you I will probably end up with surgery sooner or later.

Hello!!!!
I was back in the hospital after my 2 weeks out.. Went to the ER directed by my surgeon on Monday night. I was admitted to the hospital with gall stones. They kept me until Thursday and had surgery Thursday evening.. Went home today..... I guess I had a issue before surgery.
Just wanted to update everyone..

Hey Kim
You were let out early, I only came home today. Should have been yesterday but throwing up so had to stay a day longer to make sure I could keep liquids down. Apart from the hiccups, how are you doing and how do you feel, any regrets??

Oh boy do I know what you are talking about. I had surgery the same day as you and they had to remove my lapband before doing the sleeve. He said the scarring on the band was so bad he could hardly get a tube through it. I have a big dimple too right where the drain was. I was due home yesterday but because I was throwing up they kept me a day longer.
I have gas pains but they are easing. I will be sleeping on the lazy boy. Just remember to get your liquids in and walk lot.
