Think I'm done....
Well I am almost 6 months out, and I have been at a stall for the past 2 weeks...do you think I am done loosing? Is this as small as I was ever meant to be?
I have lost 105lbs, which I am so happy about, but I still have 112lbs. to go to get to my goal - I am worried that I am done loosing, the Doc said that around 6 months things will start to slow down, I did not expect it to be this early, and I am so depressed that I might be done.
I have not done anything differantly these 2 weeks, eating the same, still working out - what could it be?
Have you experienced stalls - how long? What did you do to snap out of it?

I have experienced stalls the longest about 3 weeks, but my weight loss is slow now at about 2 lbs a week. Which I don't mind as long as it doesn't stop. And I know that it won't as long as I do my part...which is not eating as many calories as I use. It is still the key to losing. The surgery helps, sure, but it all boils down to what you eat. It was great at first because you couldn't eat much. But like me, I am sure you can eat much more than you could before, and now you have to start eating good, (if you already are then the stall will end soon). Which is where the teaching yourself new habits and lifestyle change that you should have been working on since surgery comes in. It isn't easy, I go to a counselor and to weigh****chers, one helps me understand my motivations and hang ups the other teaches me about good food and moderation and healthy choices. If weight loss was easy none of us would need this forum or the surgery. So please don't get discouraged, it is JUST A STALL, as long as you want to lose weight and work at it, you will keep losing.
I have stalled on and off since my 3rd week. It's normal. Your body needs time to adjust to the changes you have made. Plus working out builds muscle which weighs more than fat. Currently I am in an a stall that has been going on for about 2 weeks. Scales lie. Tape measures don't. Take some measurements and monitor the inches lost rather than the pounds. I've noticed that when I am not losing weight, my jeans get loose.
It's nice to see the numbers go down on the scale, but don't let a stall discourage you. You've done great so far and just continue to stay on course. Your body will adjust. Have faith.
I know the thought of stopping is scary. The weight loss will slow down a bit. But look at all you've accomplished already! Don't let a stall get the better of you. It'll pass.

I had stalls as well. To get out of a stall I upped my excercise a bit and also went back to protein shakes and really kept an eye on my protein, making sure I got A LOT each day. This always helped break the stall.
Good luck. I'm sure you are not done. I am still losing and not even trying to ! It will happen for u
