Frustrated
I'm so frustrated!!! Monday will be 3 months since my surgery and I feel that I should have lost more by now. I know I shouldn't compare my weightloss to others but geez. I'm down 47lbs. This weekend I take my measurements again and really hope they show progress. For the last 2 weeks I've also bumped up my exercise. I'm doing Zumba M, W, Sat and strength training T, Th, Sun. I'm getting my protein and water in. Just need some encouragement.
Well here is some persceptive for you. I am almost 3 months out, just a few days shy and I have lost 31 lbs. I am happy with that!!! I am taking my measurements and they are falling off like crazy. Overall I have lost 51lbs, this would never have been possible without my RNY. Put the scale away and only weigh yourself at most once a week, and measure yourself instead. Works for me. My Dr. says I am doing great and that this is the best way to do it by following all the rules and getting everything in.
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT compare your loss with others!! We all vary! As long as your doc says you are on the right path, you are on the right path.
I am down 75 lbs (65 since surgery) and 3 1/2 mos out... See, we are all different. I am a "lightweight" I barely made the 40 bmi and I have an 85 lb total weight loss goal so I am 10 away. It just depends on our bodies, amount we need to lose, activity level, diet , age etc...
You are doing great! Keep it up!
