3 months gone.....how are you doing??

I passed the three month mark on July 6th and feel great.  Unfortunately, I caught a stomach bug on July 5th and spent 3 days in the hospital.  I couldn't keep any fluids in, so I dehydrated fast.  The Dr.s thought it had to do with my surgery, but on the third day released me saying it was just some virus.  However, I did have an endoscopy while in the hospital and they found small strictures and a itty bitty ulcer, that didn't show up on my CAT scan.  The Doc dialated (?) the strictures and now nothing is getting stuck any more.  I'm able to eat meat, though not a lot.  I'm averaging about a cup of food for each meal.  Like others I struggle getting the protein in.  I've lost 54lbs and am wearing regular clothes.  WOO HOO WLS was the best decision for me.

Hey! I am so happy to read all the posts and to see everyone is doing so well! I feel great and am so happy I made this choice. I am 62 pounds down since surgery, 77 pounds total. I have gone from a size 28 pants and 30/32 or 3x/4x shirt to a size 22/24 pants and a size 22/24 or 2x shirt, and even now, my pants are growing loose! I love that feeling. I have been tolerating food without issue, have found many recipes to help me feel "normal" without actually eating normal, and I am working out at the gym a lot... it's become my home away from home! Over all, my life style has changed so drastically, I feel like a completely different person! I still have a tummy, but I know it will go away eventually, and I have slight hair-loss, but as far as I am concerned, it's all worth it! This weekend I have to go shopping for some more pants! And I am happy about it! Never said THAT before!

Wow,  I feel amazing.  People finally started noticing about 2 weeks ago...at work.   I am down 2 sizes and feel super.  Working out and I just registered for 1/2 marathon in Miami for Jan 30, 2011.  I am running 4 miles a week, so I am training to build up to the 13 miles for the 1/2.  I have a run journal and am feeling good about the goal.  Down around 47 lbs.....crazy!

Hi All-

I am three months out today and feel great!  I have lost 81lbs and am stunned!  I have gone from a 32/34 to a 22/24 and am delighted.  I am wearing some clothing I have not worn in years!

I had some serious complications at first and my doc says no vigorous exercise until 4 months post-op.  I am anxious to start exercising for increased weight loss.  I do swim a little and figure that is OK and easy on me.

A few weeks ago, I started to feel normal again and have noticed a huge boost in my energy.

Some days the pouch is happy and some days it is not.  Chicken and lettuce do not work for me. I am sensitive to sugar and have eliminated it from my diet.

Despite all of my complications and re-hospitalizations, I would do this all over again.

Pink!

Sounds like everyone is doing great.  I am down 130 lbs from my high weight and 81 lbs since surgery.  My energy level is great.  Now wearing 2x size 22.  They are getting loose but not able to push into a 20 yet (yes I have tried).

Goodwill has become my friend.  Can go in there and shop all day get a new wardrobe and spend under $50.  I LOVE it.

I work night shift and ofter go to the gym after work in the mornings.  I bike, swim and do water aerobics. My knees feel SOOOOOO much better.  Actually went to the mountain with my husband a couple weeks ago and was able to do some low impact hiking.  Not been able to do that in years.  Can go to Wal-Mart and actually WALK around the store.  I do not regret my decision at all.  Would do it again tomorrow.
