lost my enthusiasm for exercising
HI friends,
I haven't exercised in more than a week....been doing lots of gardening because the weather has been so nice. I'm hoping that gardening will at least count for something! I also haven't seen any movement on the scale in that week.....hmmm, maybe they are connected.
How is everybody else doing with exercise?

Well, I didn't feel up to it until about week 7. I worked out for 20 min on the elliptical for about a week, then the craziness of finishing the school year got in the way. I am home the rest of the summer except a few small trips so I'm hoping to get up and work out. I'm lucky that I have a gym membership and the kids actually like to go and hang out at the daycare so that is incentive to get there. It was just too crazy at the end of the school year. So I'm hoping next week I'll get on the ball. But no, I haven't been exercising so you are not the only one.
I'm finally getting enough energy to exercise again. This week I went back to yoga, did some bike and stairmill and tried something that I absolutely LOVED that I've never done before. Zumba. I had so much fun doing it, if you like to dance or have a dance background...it's awesome!
I didn't feel like I was working out because it was so much fun...can't wait to do more.

Me too!!! My surgery was 4/28 and in the last week just got energy back. My PCP said to wait until 4 months post-op to begin any vigorous exercise. I know that prior to now, would not have had the "umph" to do it.
So all of that said, I do a bit of walking and swimming and have lost 81lbs. I can't wait to see what happens when I do get to the gym.
Thanks!
