how long did the wls prosess take you
i was just wondering how long the whole process took for people i had a really easy time and my insurance had no restrictions, other then i had to change to a ppo but i went to my first seminar last June waited for open enrollment and switched to a ppo and January i made my first consultation appt. and i had my surgery 4/30? what was your process like?
I was required by Empire Blue Cross/ Blue Shield to do 6 months of nutrition classes (1 per month) and three weeks of life skills classes (1 per week). I saw it as a big ole pain in the butt at first but now I am so happy I went through it.
After the surgery it took me a few days to be able to hold anything on my stomach. Three weeks out and I'm feeling pretty decent.

Well. I made the decision January 2009. Saw my PCP in February, told me to contact the place I wanted to have it done to get in "their" program. First appointment with OSHU was mid-April (want to say the 13th) of 2009.
6 month diet for insurance, and then some messups with getting paperwork organized. I wasn't approved until February 6th of this year. And then surgery 2 months later. So TOTAL time was 14 months, but a year from my first OSHU appt to surgery.
