DId u have RNY on 4/13/10???
Hi! I had my surgery on 4/13/10. On surgery day I was 367 (I had already lost 30 pounds pre-op due to diagnosis of diabetes). Today I am 337. Exactly 30 more pounds gone. Honestly, at first I was losing about 3 pounds a day and now it seems I'm averaging about 5 pounds a week. The weight loss is slowing. I am like you and wondering how much is normal. Shouldn't I be losing more considering what I'm eating? PUREED DIETS SUCK! Every commerical on tv is tempting me so badly. My doc says week 5 I can have soft noodles and soft chopped chicken. I am alllllll over it! Can't wait! But, don't get discouraged, remember we are all different, we all started at different weights/heights and I looked at a website today that said with a roux-en-y (which is what I had) that 60% of excess weight will come off in the first 14 months so that made me feel better because that's only about 9 pounds a month for me. Don't worry, it will come off!
I feel the same...I had RN on 04/13 and my weight loss has stalled for almost a week and I am disgusted. I know it will start back, but I am eating what I am supposed to and working out and I just feel BLAH!! I have read a lot of people saying they stalled from weeks 2-4 though, so hopefully it will pick up again soon.
