just home from hospital... gas!!!

so i finally had my rny yesterday, and am back home today... feeling tired, with some nausea... just had my pain meds... gas is really bothering me... does anyone know if its ok to take gasx strips this early after surgery?

My dr. had me taking them from the second i came home. My gas was bad also. WALK WALK WALK . everytime i went from laying down to sitting up or walking i would burp alot.. Hope you feel better soon. Welcome to the losers bench

I agree with Mama... walk walk walk is the only way to get the gas bubbles moving around.  My surgeon said GasX strips were fine to take right away.

Also sleeing elevated helps, too.

 Ohhhhh yes the gas is the worst. It's painful especially to walk but I had to force myself to walk because everyone kept saying it would help! IT DID HELP! I would burp and most importantly I would fart. It's hard I know! Just do as much as you can. Good luck! Glad your home

I took gasx chewables the same day as surgery and took them for about 2 wks after and now still taking them now and then! Should be fine! 

Walk. It'll get things moving and you can let it out the back end much easier than burping.

How are you feeling now? Still gassy? I'm having major probs with that. Drives me crazy! And without "pushing" to pass makes it more intolerable =P
I've been using Beano meltaway tabs....

i still have gas but thank god it doesnt hurt anymore...  now just looking forward to the pureed diet!!
