After being in bed for so long (it's a pillowtop AND I have an egg crate pad on) my butt gets numb/painful.

Anyone else??

lol, noooo not yet.  But I think that means hubby or SO..needs to give you a butt massage.  I will tell mine that is the doctors orders

Do you have a big arch in your back?  I do and it flattens out my back even with my butt and I get the same pain. I usually don't have any problem because I am a side sleeper but that is impossible for now (although I am getting close).

The pain in my lower back/upper butt hurt more than surgery site; specially being a tummy sleeper anyway.  So I quickly learned how to arrange the pillows so I could "fall"  into bed on my tummy....but the more I walk, the better it gets.  Good luck.

Thanks all!

Diane - I ignore the pain and just kinda lay/hold onto a third pillow and sleep on my side! Last night I even slept on my tummy for a little bit - though recovering from turning was a bit difficult....and involved some painkillers =P

I've been getting in some walking everyday. Hubby makes sure the living room floor is free of toys and I walk back and forth between my bedroom, the living room, the front door...

I am using pain killers at night too. It makes getting into bed bearable. It must be 100's of times harder with children. Mine are grown and are not underfoot. How many children do you have? Today was my first walk alone. I was a bit lightheaded and weak. Today was a very good day.

I have two kids. Isaac will be 4 in May and Sylvia will be 3 in August! (15 months apart) and they have TONS of toys! They've been really good this week and not dumping their toy buckets. If they do that, I won't have anywhere to walk unless it's outside...and that involves getting dressed, rofl!
