I had my surgery today

I had a great experience at Christian Care Hospital and Dr. Peters from CHRIAS.

Surgery was at 1:00 today. I haven't had to take any pain medication so far, but I have needed Gas-X Strips.  Other than the incision for the port, none of the cuts hurt.

I hope everyone else has this good of an experience. And, I also hope things continue to go this well. :)

Wow.  Impressed.  Do you havea high pain tolerance?  I am 6 days out from an RNY and wondering why I still hurt enough to need pain med. but if I don't it becomes hard to walk and take deep breaths.  I hope it stays this way for you.  Glad your experience  is good.  REcover soon.

No. I am a little more sore today, but still managable. I think I just lucked out. I hope you are feeling better soon.

Holy cow, no pain meds??? You're not human!!!

I've kept myself moving and distracted, so I think that helps. I am a little more sore today, but nothing worse than a strained muscle. I think I'm just lucky.

I agree that it doesn't hurt as badly as I feared, but I am not willing to find out if it will get worse so I have been crushing up my Lortabs on schedule!  I'm glad you are doing well.  I think the walking helps more than the Gax-X for me, but I am keeping them handy just in case.
Keep me updated on how you are doing.  YAY for us!

I think that moving around really helps. I am a little more sore than yesterday, but it's still managable.
