Officially started pre-op diet
SO....had my first optifast shake today. Really not bad, but thinking about those for 2 weeks is a little overwhelming. My dear husband unpacked them out of the boxes and into the fridge for me which was super sweet. I don't know how I would do all this without him. 2 weeks from today is my surgery...I am sooooo excited!!!
I started my "full liquid" part of the pre-op diet today.
I went the Bariactric Center and bought a month's supply of all the vitamins and minerals I will need.
I, also, had my pre-admission EKG and blood work this am. When I got home, I had a call from the hospital telling me that one of the four vials of blood they took clotted and could I please come back in during the next two days for a repeat. They already poked me in both arms this morning,.

It's really not as bad as I thought it would be. I can still have other clear liquids with it too, so I have a lot of chicken broth, sugar free jello and popsicles. I am already down 5lbs from last Friday! Seeing the scale go in the right direction is making me a happy camper. My head hunger at this point is worse than anything. My Mom can't believe that I am going to stick with the pre-op over Easter. She went as far as to tell me I should ask for the surgery to be pushed back so I could have Easter dinner. NO WAY!!!! I've come too far and am too excited to even think about that. :-)
