Nice to pack winter clothes in donation boxes never to be worn again

In Ohio things are starting to turn green and our temperatures are finally in the 60's. We get a lot of rain this time of year. I was really getting sick of all the snow.

Well the other day I went in the basement to unpack a pair of flip flops and I realized all of my big "ass" clothes will be  leaving my house forever. I started a donation box with some of my big clothes that I hate. We all have that type of clothes that we have to wear because there isn't much to choose from in the store.

But I haven't got a single piece of clothing that I can wear when it warms up.  I am going to cut some of my elastic pants into shorts and make my long sleeve shirts to short sleeves. I am not buying anything in a SIZE 24 ever again or 22 or 20. I have some old 18's that I can wear. I am just hoping they are summer and not winter clothes.

Next winter the kid in me can go sledding. I know I sure don't want to waste another breath being fat and miserable.

I think its a great time of year we are having surgery. Its like a rebirth of nature and a rebirth of us!! Its going to change the way I view Easter, I know.

I plan on going through my clothes before I leave in a week. I just want to organize the sizes I have. I made it down to a 22 last summer, though I'm up to a 24 now. I think I own one 20 jeans from when I was losing.

My goal is to be a 14. That was the thinnest I was as an adult and I thought I was smokin'!! Really looking forward to thinking I'm smokin' again!! emily

Good idea to go through our closets and "size" our clothes.   Right now I am wearing 18/20's and few 22/24 tops.  But last year I had gotten down to a 16 and have quite a few 16 pants and some 14/16 tops.  And I bought some size 14's the other day when I had some coupons.
I know I will be sorting and putting out for donation or gifts to friends who can use them, or maybe other WLS'rs who can use them clothes as I go.   I have a brand new pair of "fit-flops" in pearl white, size 10, that I would love to give to somebody.  I bought them and they are probably the most comfortable pair of summer shoes I have ever stepped into, but I cannot stand having anything between my toes.   I thought I would give it a try and wore them twice and ended up with blisters between my toes.  I know most of the world wears thongs with ease, wish I was one.
If anyone would like to have these, I would be glad to send them to you.

That is what I plan to do.... just trying to get the motivation to do so... I have hundreds of outfits.... too big of a job... I have one bag done, 10-16 more to go.

My question is, on average, how many outfits do you all have?

I have jeans/pants in sizes 22 and 24.  I'm wearing the 24's right now and will hopefully be able to wear the 22's without having to buy more long pants until late summer/fall.

I have shirts in several sizes as I tend to lose/gain in the torso.  I should be good on shirts for a few months, anyway.

I have a tote that will serve as my "too big to wear anymore" tote.  I need another to make a "goodwill" tote and another for ebay/friends.

What I should do, want to do is go buy a package of underwear in a size and two sizes down.

That's really nice that you are going to donate your clothes to Goodwill. I have been shopping there for years and there are hardly ever any plus sizes unless you are an old lady. The underwear Idea is a good one. You can always wear a size a bit bigger and buying two sizes down is good. I am telling and reminding myself that I have a washer and don't need a lot of clothes as I loose weight.
