What are Some of the Things You Want to do Post-Op (fun stuff)

Remember all those times your weight kept you from joining activities? We all have dreamed for years of what we will be able to do if we were just thinner or healthier.

My husband bought me a very nice bike a few years ago and I have ridden it once. I used to camp, kayak and do so many more outdoor activities. When I couldn't participate I felt left out.

Now I have started a list of all the stuff I have been missing and are going to do. Kind of like that guy Earl on TV who was always going down his list and checking off things he did. Wouldn't that be fun and motivating.

My list starts of with easier things I can do and build up to harder things.  The first thing on my list is to resurrect my garden. My husband will do the harder parts like turning the soil but I can buy and still plant flowers. My garden looks like an English garden and has a wooden fence around it. There are a lot of perennials in it. I just feel like planting things  will be like me starting a new a life.

I am going camping, hiking, swimming this summer. I am going to have a real fiesta party for my Spanish group and maybe even roller skate (I also have a new unused pair of those too). Oh and I am going to pack all my winter clothes in a donation box and never need them again! I am going to the thrift store and buy some cute summer clothes. I won't by new until this winter.

You guys are pretty terrific. Even though you see my name everywhere people are participating more.  I just can't leave a question, comment without a reply.

Share with us what your dreams are after surgery and I don't mean the healthy stuff. Being healthier can be second to fun here.

By the end of April we should be going strong here.

Mostly run with my kids.
Wouldn't mind feeling sexy for the hubs either.
I'm putting off a Disney trip bc I don't think I'll fit on any of the rides.
Dance without jiggling.
Go bike riding but I have a feeling my girly parts will still hurt, even a 100 lbs lighter.
Wear high heels.
Fit through a turn style.
Fit in a movie sit without raising the arms (goes for airplane rides too)-
wear a dress without my thighs starting a bonfire

UG! The dress/thigh thing drives me CRAZY!!! The only thing I've found that helps is wearing shorts or spanks or something underneath and what's the LAST thing a fat girl needs? Freakin LAYERS!! lol...

I'm looking forward to LOOKING better... wearing dresses and feeling attractive again...

Going to an unfamiliar place and not worrying about whether I'll fit in the chairs would be great...

Being able to move and walk comfortably will be a huge reward, no matter where I'm going.

great post/idea.  i think i'm going to start a list offline but here's some things just off the top of my head: run around and play with my kids, wear nicer clothes and shoes, start polishing my toenails once i can reach them without having to stop breathing, start wearing rings once i can find ones that fit, keep a spotless home (yes, i am planning to become cleaning obsessed as one of my transfer addictions) figure i'll just clean whenever i feel the urge to eat, ah let me see...oh yeah, take a trip maybe a cruise or get on an airplane finally.  boy, this is going to be a long list, i'm just getting started.

I'm in the process of changing my diet, relationship with food and my lifestyle.  I'm in training for maintaining.

Since I live in Florida I am surrounded by theme parks...I would LOVE to be able to fit into a roller coaster for the first time in years.

I want to be able to go to the beach!!! Again, I am surrounded by them but I never go.

This one is silly, but I want to be able to use a regular sized towel when I get out of the shower.

I would love to be able to go into Victoria Secret's and not look like I'm there on a dare.

I want to be sexy for my husband.  I know he finds me sexy now, but I don't feel it.  :-(

I want to take a pole dancing class

I literally could go on and on, but these are just a few.  :-)
