I am scheduled for April 8th. In Richmond, Va with Dr. Bautista....I am so ready for it to be over and done so i can be on the loosers bench. I go to classes this thurs for 4 hours, on nutrition and stuff....I am wondering what are we going to be doing for 4 hours and how much will i remember. So i am taking my mother with me and a notebook to write notes.

I am thinking your doctor is just reinforcing things you need to know. I had a 4 hour appointment with a nutritionist and the doctor and I have already been to one seminar, classes with others on exercise, nutrition, psycholgy then all over again one on one.

Don't forget us when you go to the Losers Bench. Just think when you get home from your WLS I will be going in.

I'm scheduled for my pre-op 4 hour session on April 12, exactly 2 weeks before my surgery date.  But my surgeon indicated during the initial consultation that we would have a pre-op diet for 2 weeks prior to the surgury.  So I'm assuming that is when I will find out  exactly what that diet wil be and probably what to expect at surgery and post op.  I am also going to take big time notes and ask specific questions about what I don't fully understand.  I have read post previously when people were not really sure what the were suppose to do immediately following surgery.  Apparently the doctors do not always have the same procedures, and they don't really know exactly what they are to do.
Purepraise is what I do.

Hi Shea,

Looks like we share the same surgery day! I will be having surgery on the 8th in Pittsburgh, PA with Dr. Courcoulous. Like you I'm so ready to move onto the losers bench. I actually just found this site and I'm really excited I found it before the surgery! I don't have a 4 hour appointment, but was attending these classes for 6 months called the 'lifestyles' program. It really helped a lot with learning how to change eating behaviors, physical activity, etc. Well I hope your surgery goes well and make sure to check in!
