Very exciting! Lovely to meet you. I'm 5 days into Optifast (my liquid diet) now and I am feeling better now. The first two days I was fine, the third day I has pretty sleepy and yesterday I was so exhausted I barely has the energy to move. Last nigt I was hungry through the night for tyhe first time in years but today when I woke the hunger was gone and I have energy, and am keen to go for a walk, so I'm off and on my way towards to water to enjoy a walk.
The liquid diet has been interesting. It's a bit of a battle of the mind. Even when you aren't hungry, your brain tries to tell you you are!

I'm April 17 also! We'll have to keep up with each other - kinda like the buddy system!
I saw someone mention vitamins. Here's what I've gotten so far.
- Chewable Calcium Citrate + Vitamin D - 90 wafers - $12.95 per bottle at GNC
- Centrum Complete - Walmart (saw on main board where Flinstone Completes are a child's vitamin and DO NOT have everything we need - I don't know - my surgeon also mentioned Flinstones, but said anything is good as long as it is COMPLETE and CHEWABLE)
- Zinc Berry Lozenges - GNC - for hair loss
- Iron 18 mg - GNC
- B-12 sublingual - Walmart
GNC sells a really good protein powder also - bottle's at home, post the name later - tastes like chocolate milk - my 10-year-old son loves it
Does anyone have any suggestions for finding little spoons and forks. I have baby spoons and forks as a last resort. But what I'm looking for are disposable. Have you ever gone into Sam's and tasted the samples? Well, sometimes they include a little fork or spoon if it's something you can't eat with your fingers. I want some of those to carry in my purse for use when eating out and at work.
