I've always liked the Atkin shakes, myself. I like the Dark Chocolate Royal Shakes.
As I've said I am doing a pre liquid diet before I actuially HAVE to start the liquid diet. On April 8th is when I start the "true" liquid diet and thankfully the thinking has been done for me. Hurley has their patients buy a liquid diet kit from them and they tell you exactly what you can eat from it. It's all planned out.
Their set up is 3 shakes/puddings a day ~1 soup a day and 1 fiber fruit drink a day. There are 6 extra fiber fruit drinks that you can drink "as needed" and of course you can have as much water as you want. I do get to add one cup of OJ to my list for my iron pills, but that's it for me.
In my pre-liquid diet I am allowing for 3 shakes, 2 soups, and however many waters or crystal lights I want. I think this will help ease me into the more strict diet in a week and a half from now.
I've also heard EAS protein drinks are good and also the products from http://www.smartforme.com are supposed to be really good and with the BTV coupon code I believe you can get 10% off your order (I think).
Good Luck finding a protein drink you like.

I kind of did my last meal deal yesterday too. I ate a Quizno's Turkey Pesto Torpedo, and for dinner I had a Rally's Big Buford with a large fry and my final Sprite. I haven't had soda in a while and decided to have one last one before I did this liquid diet pre-start. I also had some chips and dip, hershey bar (dh bought 2 I only ate one) and some homemade brand peanut butter chocolate chip ice cream for desert. Needless to say I was full by the end of the day. The odd thing was when I woke up this morning the scale hadn't gone up any. LOL It was teasing me I think.
Of course today the Sunday ads and commercials are making me think I should have eaten other things first before starting this, LOL. Like a good boston cream donut, or a canoli. There there is ALL of the Easter candy I will have to pass up this year too.
But this is all good. Cleansing my body and losing weight and preping for surgery is a GOOD thing. I have a goal to get to and I will do everything i can to get there.

I totally feel your pain! I'm day 8 into the diet and am ready to chew my own arm off...lol! I'm constently tired and have had a headache every other day. Today has actually been the best day yet. I kept myself busy - when I had the energy - and made a point of getting on OH and looking at the before and after pictures to remind myself that this is all worth it in the end. Hang in there and I will too!

Well, I'm to have my RNY on 4/14/9. I have to start the restrictive pre-surgery diet tomorrow:( I've had a great "farewell to foods I love" tour this weekend!

You will also be in my prayers. I am scheduled with Dr Lord on april 23. Have you had your presurgery appointment? I am wondering what to expect.
