i am down about 68 lbs since my surgery - no pre surgery weight loss for me.  I wish I did lose pre op but I can't go back in time!!  I feel like my weightloss is super slow though.  I have another 50 lbs to go.

I had my DS on April 7th 2009 with Dr. Keshishian in Delano, Ca. I've lost just over 80 lbs since the day of surgery. I've lost my high blood pressure. I can run without being winded. I'm down from a 26/28 to a 16/18 in pants. I have a neck again! I love everything about my DS! I eat butter, fat, and protein with reckless abandon. It's wonderful, it's amazing, I have my life back!

I have lost 81lbs since my RNY surgery on 4-13-09. That does include weight lost preop. I seem to be losing slower than alot of others but the weight still is coming off 1 lb at a time and thats all that matters to me. I have to admit that i did not exercise until about a month ago, now i walk 2 miles at least 3 times a week. I eat pretty much anything I want now except no sugar, and I try to stay away from white carbs.  I also only take about 2 -3 bites and get full, I have a real big problem with not drinking when i eat, it is something i am working on. I have gone from a size 26/28 to a 18/20 and sometimes a 16/18. I am hoping to be in onederland by my 6 month appt in  oct. If I really work hard I can do it, but if i'm close that's ok too.  I have so much more energy and I notice that people treat me different and smile at me more. I am still adjusting to eating my food too fast and not chewing enough. I don't regret this surgery at all , and i tell anyone that asks me about it that i would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

Had my RNY 4/9/09 and have lost a total of 94 pounds since starting presurgery diet in January.  I am about 27 pounds from goal and have found that I can eat anything. Sugar, carbs, meat, - anything.  So I have to do this on my own in a sense.

The surgery helped with portion control, even though that wasn't my big issue.  Mine was quality of food.  Luckily, I don't really care for fast food anymore.  I have kicked up my exercise program since I am just about at a couple of hurdles that tend to slow down weight loss - 6 month anniversary and 100 lb loss mark.

My nutritionist said that with the exercise plan I am currently using I shouldn't have any problem getting to goal.

Pre planning is the key for me.  Plan ahead and then I don't have that question of what to eat - I already know and have planned for it.  When I don't do this - I graze all day.  Which in turn causes me to not get my water in for the day.

It is a journey - but I am very glad I hopped on board.

I had my Vetical Sleeve Gastrectomy  Surgery  (VSG) on August 4, 09 at Hurley in Flint. The 15th of Sept I well be 6 weeks post-op and I have lost 40 pounds and am now down from a size 28 to 18/20. My biggest challenge is head hunger and wanting that Hamburger or pizza, etc. and getting my water in. I tired to eat tuna and it did not agree with me at all. It made me fell ill. I have been luck though no vomiting or nausea. My biggest challenge of all is finding things to eat on Hurley's plan. They don't tell you much.  So I read many other Sleeve plans. I figure at 6 weeks I will go on to new challenges. As for now I mostly eat Cottage Cheese. I love my sleeve. I just have to learn how to eat and over come that head hunger.  I am hoping to loss that 100 pounds by January 2010.

Hey all post where you are in your weight loss right now.
What challenges have you faced?
How much weight have you lost?
What surgery did you have and do you like it or are you still adjusting?
Do you have any milestones/goals you've reached yet?

*****************************************************************

I had my VSG (sleeve) Surgery on April 24th. I am almost 20 weeks post op, come this Friday, but currently I have lost 93 pounds so far and have gone from a size 30+ down to a 20!!

My challenges have been dehydration, a few times, but other than that I am still learning what my new tummy likes and dislikes, but for the most part it likes normal food. Thankfully I have been very happy with the extreme restriction of only being able to eat 2-3 bites max before getting super full. It can take me 2-3 hours to eat a small 2 cup meal and I love it! I am satisfied and losing weight well.

I am hoping to lose 7-8 more pounds to reach that hundred pound weight loss so I can treat myself to some shape wear. Right now I have a horrible muffin top.

Next goal is to reach that elusive 199, just to truly say I am below 200 for the first time in probably 19+ years!

Have a great day!
