Topic: RE: Protein Drink Recommendations
I drank Boost Glucose Control, it has 16grams of protein per bottle. They have strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate.  It is also was good when i put it in the freezer for a little while. There are two kinds of Boost, i chose the Glucose control because it had less calories and more protein. It was approved by the nutritionist.

Topic: RE: Liquid Diet Day 5
I'm doing well so far (day 6).  I have 4 protein drinks a day and (64 oz) of fluids including water, broth, s/f popsicles and s/f jello....no dairy products.  But I can also have  up to 2 cups of limited veggies a day, which I toss into my soup (spinach, onion, mushroom, brocolli and cauliflower), along with some seasonings (mostly herbs).  I'm having trouble getting all four shakes in, but I do enjoy my soup in the evening.

The hard part is keeping on a schedule because when I get hungry, it feels like I have only minutes to get food in or I get sick.  So 7, 11, 3 and 7 are important times of the day for me! and other stuff (liquids) inbetween to fill the time.

Good luck everyone!

I too am having surgery on the 8th....in the countdown!  I'm in Central Pennsylvania.  Been at this now for what seems like forever!  I started my protein fast last saturday...pretty well acclimated to it, but I'm getting the symptoms of a cold now, and that concerns me.

How's it going for you?

Topic: 600-700 Calories per day?
I'm following my doc and dietitian's instructions for my pre-op diet:  3 cans of Slim Fast per day plus all the calorie free liquids I want (SF Jello, popsicles, crystal light, broth).  I track my intake on myfooddiary.com and I'm only getting 600-700 calories per day.  I know they want me to lose before surgery, but seriously that's not very many calories!  Thank goodnes I'm on day 9 of 14 - I could never go longer than that!

Hello all!  I am also scheduled for surgery 4/20 and getting really excited!  At the same time, a little nervous too.  I am so ready for the results of the surgery and being a big time looser, however, I am not excited about the procedure itself.  However, this is all going to be so worth it.  Lets all hang in there 4/20'ers and be the BIGGEST LOOSERS TOGETHER!!

HUGGGGGGGGS TO ALL!
