I'm glad to see you made it through surgery unscathed!!  I met a woman this past Tuesday who had RNY the Friday before (so she was 4 days post-op).  She was having an extremely difficult time getting in protein as well.  Our surgeon told her to concentrate on the water and that the protein would get easier.  He told her to just keep trying.  Good luck.  Keep us posted!

Hi my name is Tina, My surgery date is April 22nd.  I too have been having the last supper thing.  Excited and scared.  I know we will be ok and I agree it is wonderful to be given this chance at a healthy life.  But still a little scared.

some one please advice me! can i still continue to take the pill before and after my gastric bypass surgery ??

Hi April 15ers....

It's come around soooooooooo slow..haha. I've on liquids for 4 weeks and 4 days as of today :(

But I did it..no cheating or slip ups...didn't lose as much weight as I thought I might...only 18.3 pounds...so i guess I'm going to have to become a gym junky to get slim......

I'm nervous...making all my puree soup tomorrow, and as lame as it sounds...getting my hair done and my eye lashes tinted for the hospital stay...

Then bracing myself for my ouch times. My sister is 6 month out...40kg's down and looks amazing, and is quite free to eat, but small quantities...'like a lady'.......

Wanted you all to know you are in my prayers and thoughts....please come back in after and let us all know how the April 15ers went, and how you are all coming along.......

Well, good luck to you.  I'm a new member on here as well and my surgery date is 4/20 (my birthday).  I am also nervous too.  I'll check back in a few weeks, maybe we can compare notes!  What type of surgery are you doing?  I'm doing the RnY... ok, again, good luck and I'll say a prayer for you.
