Let's talk loose skin
My surgery date is April 30, 2009. I'd like to hear from people that have had surgery whether loose skin or saggy skin what ever you want to call it was a problem for you? I also want to know if you exercised while loosing or not? I'm on day 7 of my 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I have lost 12 lbs. as of yesterday. (haven't weighed today yet) I'm vigorously exercising though at home & at the athletic club. Thanks

Hi
Loose skin, saggy skin is inevitable after losing a great deal of weight. However to what degree you will have it depends on things like your age, how long you've been overweight, skin condition/elasticity, general health, etc. Exercise is good idea...it definitely helps build muscle and that will somewhat reduce the flabby effect. The only way to really remove lots of excess skin is through plastic surgery.....
Good luck!
