Surgery April 21st, anyone around the same time??

Hi, I am also on the 21st for my RNY. The program i'm going through requires 10% weight loss before surgery. So with doing "South Beach" i've manged to lose 50lbs before surgery!! (Go Me!!). Like Priss though now that i'm 9 days away, I want to CHEAT!!! My 29th anniversary is this Saturday, so I think i'l have whatever I want to eat. Oh and a few margarittas!! Hell yeah!!

WOW, that's an amazing pre-op weight loss!  CONGRATS!!      I bet you're already feeling better!   And I think you SO deserve a night of what you want before the big day!!! 

Hi my name is Tina, My surgery date is April 22nd.  I too have been having the last supper thing.  Excited and scared.  I know we will be ok and I agree it is wonderful to be given this chance at a healthy life.  But still a little scared.

Hi Tina!   Congrats on your upcomming surgery date!  I'm sure we'll do great, we are going to have so many positives coming out of it!  Keep me posted on your progress, I've requested you as a friend!

My surgery is April 22nd.  One week from today!!!!  I'm having the RNY.  I've had all of my pre-op testing and all is a go.  I'm soooo ready to get this done!  I just want to get on with my life. 

My wife had a RNY on April 7th.  She's doing great!  She walked six miles while in the hospital.  It will be good to go through this together.  Our surgery dates are only 15 days apart.

Neither one of us had a pre-surgery diet except liquids the day before.  We both did up our exercise routine before surgery.  Kind of did the last meal thing.  Actually, we just went out to dinner a couple of times, nothing really excessive at all.

Hello! Congrats on your upcoming surgery! My date is April 22nd and like most of you the anxiety is starting to creep in on me. I've been excited for several months now but yesterday at the pre-op I really felt the anxiety coming on. It's really going to happen and it's only one week away! I am so excited to get this thing rolling!

I am also a diet soda addict as I see several people on here are. I'm dreading the headaches but that is a very small price to pay for an all new me, right? I just signed up today and noticed all the different pre-op diets...how strange. You would think they were all pretty much the same.  My surgeon requires a 48hr clear liquid diet which isn't too bad! Anyway, would love to keep in touch with all of you since you are around the same date in case I need advice and/or support.  Good luck to you all!

I am scheduled for Lap Band Surgery April 24th.  I havent been told anything about fasting so far,  I do have to go in for the pre op, might be told then. 

Congratulations to all for the next step in our new lives that we will shortly adjust to. 
I am excited now and as it was said, I will get anxious as it gets closer.  This is actually being done for a kidney problem I have and hopeing this will ease the problem.   I havent shopped yet, I want to see if there is any samples of the protein shakes that I can try before I purchase something I dont like.      Nice to have other people that we can all share with.

I'm scheduled for April 23rd and getting anxious!  I had my PCP call in some anti-anxiety meds for when it gets bad, but I'm prone to anxiety anyway.  Good luck everyone!
