Wow, thank you!!!  Hi there.  I was beginning to think I was the only Michigander getting the Sleeve for a moment.  My preop is this coming Friday at 10:30am.  I'm a bit nervous because I don't really know what to expect.  I am soooo excited!!!

I am too. My Pre-op is aet for April 1st. It was April 8th but they moved it up. I'm going to see Monday if we can move it down to  April 15th instead, if not then I guess Wednesday I will be getting "prepped" Mine ios set for 12:30pm though, so I can sleep in a little bit. :D

I don't know about yours but I have paperwork that says what is in volved with the pre-op testing:

Your testing will involve an interview with a nurse clinician, blood tests, an EKG, a chest x-ray and pulmonry function (breathing) test. If any of these have been completed in the last 6 months, please bring a copy of them with you on the day of your appointment. In addition, you will meet with Dr. M, the medical director of the program. Bring all medications you are currently taking with you in the original bottles to your appointment. Include any over the ounter medications as well.

Lab tests will be drawn; therefore, a light meal can be eaten no later than 2 hours prior to your appointment. Menu suggestions for a light meal are included. Due to length of your appointment (4-5 hours), you may want to bring a snack or lunch with you to eat after your blood it drawn. Due to limited space in the pre-admission testing area, anyone accompanying you may be asked to wait in another area.

So that is all I know about what will be happening to me during pre-op. Good luck and I HTH'd some.
