They just changed my surgery date to April 21, 2009

I found out today that surgery is now slated for a day later than expected.  I guess that it's better to go on a tuesday instead of monday but I wi**** was all over sooner.  I can't wait until the day that I'm not hungry all the time.  I'm trying to recognize when my body is really hungry from when I'm bored or just want to eat out of habit.  It;s been a hungry day for me but I know I can do it,  I just need some help and my surgery is the tool that I need to help me.

Mine is the 23rd in Bangor ME.  I cant wait either.  I am ready for the chance to be a better me!  And I agree, this is a great tool..

Thanks for the support.  I keep telling myself that it is a big step towards my new life.  I will be having a grandchild in August and want to be able to see him or her graduate college and get married.  The way I'm going now, I won't make it another few years if that. 

Well the good news is it wont be as long as it has been.  Believe me, time will fly and before you know it you'll be on a wonderful liquid diet.

I can't wait either. I went from them telling me I'd have surgery the first week of April to them solidifying a date for April 24th. I cried because I didn't want to wait 2 extra weeks, especially since they made me wait 2 weeks for a surgical date. I felt like I could have been doing the liquid diet and pre-op stuff so I COULD have had the earlier date. Oh well. At least my surgery date is set.

I'm sorry you experienced a set back. I am sure it felt devastating, even if it was only one day!

4 weeks from today is my surgery!  I think I am ready.  I have lots of liquid.  I just need to get the powdered protien and I am set.  I too am going to be a grandmother for the first time in July or August.  My daughter is pregnant with twins!   We are hoping to find out what they will be next Wednesday.  I want to be around for them for a long time.  They will never know the fat grammy.!!

The protein powder can be in the form of powdered milk too.  My dietician taught mr that.  I need to stock up on the fruit juices and other liquids soon.  I'm a little bummed-out cuz my lung doctor told me today that he doesn't know if I'll be ready for April 21st surgery.  That's more than 3 weeks away and he was basing his opinion on today when he saw me.  Yes, I have a bad sinus infection and it has kicked up my asthma but it will get better and it will bw sooner as opposed to later.  My primary doc was more positive and had more encouraging words to say.
