is it too early to buy me a pair of "skinny" jeans
i was thinking to go out and buy a pair of nice pants i want to wear one day! i think i want to tack em to the wall just to look at... with the hopes that in a few months i might just get to wear them! Man once i loose this weight i am gonna be in the poor house cause i am already eyeing up the clothes imagining what it would be like just to fit into something awesome! I love you lane bryant... you have treated me well... but i hope i never buy a damn thing from you again!
I'm that way with Fashion Bug. Lane Bryant has only recently (in last 6 months) come back to PC at the beach. The difference in Fashion Bug and Lane Bryant is that Fashion Bug has the "skinny girl" side. But I DO NOT EVER want to buy anything from the "big girl" side again!!
My aunt gave me a really good idea. I just took all of my winter season clothes to a consignment store because I know I won't fit them next year. She told me to buy, from consignment stores, sizes large or medium winter clothes while they're on clearance at these stores. If for some reason they don't fit yet, they will someday. If they're too big, I'm not out much money. She said buy 1 nice "skinny" outfit to work towards, but don't buy new clothes until you hit your maintain weight.
As for the seasons coming up, spring and summer, buy a multitude of sizes, again from consignment stores, so that if you don't fit something, you're not out much money.
So rest assured, come payday, I'm doing some shopping!

Hi Tamilynn,
My Mom used to work for one of Victoria's Secret (VS) call centers. She clued me into what happens to the clothing (such as sweaters, coats, jeans, etc.) returned from VS catalog orders. It is sold to a Columbus, Ohio based company called MJR. They have a website at mjrsales.com. They also sell on Ebay under the user name of mjrsales. MJR will sometimes call VS items "famous catalog", or sometimes Moda, Via, or other brands sold through VS catalog. MJR also sells clothing from other sources so you should check out VS website to see what clothing they offer, then look for it on MJR's sites. You can really get some good deals via their Ebay site.
Best of wishes on your weight loss journey!
Mary
