Its to help shrink the liver so the doctors are able to see better once they start on surgery. Any weight I can lose before hand is also and added bonus to weight I wont have to lose afterwards. Every doctor is different, mine didnt specify a certain amount he would like lost but I am doing my best to stick to it so I can have my surgery laprosopically (sp).

I don't have a time yet. I'll get that when I pre op next week. I start my liquid diet tomorrow. But I guess I'm luckier then you, because he said as long as it goes through a straw, I can have it.

Congrats! Mine is April 11 as well! I've been on my liquid protein diet since April 1st and I just can't wait for next friday to get here!! My surgery is @ 7am. How about yours?!

why do you have to do a modified liquid deit before the surgery????? i'm having the lap banding done and i don't think i have to do any special diet beforehand. -jenny

I was rescheduled today from my original 5/15/08 date to 4/10/08. Can you believe it? I am so excited.

Surgery Twin!!!!!!!!!!!! My date is the 10th also. I was originally scheduled for May 15th but when I was approved that got pushed up to the 10th of April. I am so excited and nervous.
