My diet's not so bad, Im allowed to have 2 control bars a day to manage my appetite and that helps. These protein shakes just take some getting used to. Hopefully after surgery I'll like them better! All my pre-op stuff is on the 10th and since my surgery is happening outta state I'll have to stay the night in a special house for baratric patients across the street from the hospital. But Im ok with that bc I have to be at the hospital at 5 am on Friday the 11th. 5 days till I think I will finally realize this is happening. Are you getting nervous?!

I have done 4 protein shakes a day... be sure of course that they do not have many calories. I also enjoy 2-3 snacks a day. - s/f popsicles, f/f/, s/f pudding and jello, light & fit yogurt. It's not so bad.

Hi all! I'm new here, but I thought I'd share my date also! I've already started my pre-op diet....and pretty much have everything ready to go! (I hope!) Just trying to keep busy and do some fun things to keep the stress levels down now!
Hope everyone is doing well! Sending healing thoughts and prayers out to all of you!

Topic: My date has been changed
My surgeons office called me this morning. My date has been moved up on account of my surgeon has to go out of town two days after my surgery and he does not want to leave the area so soon after my surgery so he is moving it from 21 Apr 08 to 18 Apr 08. Two weeks today....I'm getting nervous. I have read some have started a liquid diet for two weeks prior to surgery. Since I am seeing dietician on 7 Apr 08 I figured she would tell me what to do, but not surgery is moved up and it wont' be a full two weeks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, had lap RNY 03/31/08. Home Wednesday evening. Woke up this morning with the front of my night shirt and the left arm drenched in watery bloody stuff. No temp. Called SVCH no return call yet. What is too much? Thanx, M

I am too busy getting ready to get too nervous.....probably will be more nervous Sunday and Monday....Wishing us all the best in surgery and recovery!!
