Linda, my surgery is on 4/21, and I'm with you, honey. It's really starting to hit home. I am most afraid of 1) that I will die, and 2) the pain and recovery. Right now I am on day 8 of my two week liquid diet. Food is the last thing on my mind, so that doesn't phase me too much. I'll pray for you, you pray for me. We'll make it.

In response to Gay. I'm 2 days short of 2 wks out and am feeling like a human being again. Still need to bring my strength back. Can sleep on both sides now, gas is under control for the time being. Water is going down better so I'm us to 48 oz. plus. Miss chewing and can't chew gum. My doctor has me on a liquid diet for 3 wks progressing to 1 wk of mushies and then on to solid food (chopped fine) and chewed to the consistancy of baby food. So far so good. Thanks for checking Gay. When was yours and how are you doing?

My friend had lap band a year ago and is just now loosing her hair, does anyone know a shampoo that helps? She already has increased her protein intake.

i have mainecare and medicare and i was told since i am not on meds for haven high colesteral and my bmi is not higher then 40 i cant have the lapband done or any thing. i have no idea on what to do now. b center asked me question and told me no right up front and said that mainecare wont do this for me cuz im not in bad enough health. ok so haven asthma and high colesteral not being able to run around with my kid and haven no energy body pain joint pain messed up knees cant lose weight and just sit at my same weight is not good enough. grrrrr im so pissed and angery and just feed up.
