Hi Karen, You are not alone. I had my lap band surgery on 12/26/07 and I am getting ready to have fill # 3 this coming Thursday. I just can't understand how I can gain weight if I'm wating my calories, exercising, and drinking more than enough water. I know that the fill amount is different for everyone. I'm just hoping that my gets to that point for me real soon. Right now I have 3.5cc's in a 10cc limit band. I saw somewhere that it showed the average amount of fill that helps people with their weight loss runs around 3.5cc-4.5cc. You probably need another fill. I would give your doctor a call and see what they say. Are you having problems with being hungry all the time as well? I am so I try my very best to keep myself as busy as possible and as far away from the kitchen as well. Hang in there and I hope your doctor will be able to get your some answers. Marie

I had a gastric segmentation 1992 from dr. moline awesome, having complications looking for a doctor in minnesota to help, who would know answers to questions and complications.

Wow, Garth Davis is your doctor. I love that show. That show was what changed my mind on the surgery. If it was not for that show I think I would not be where I am today with my surgery date three days away. I wish they would not have taken the episodes off the air here in Minnesota, I am having the open gastric, I wi**** would be laparoscopic, but my surgeon does not want to do it that way.. I am now 7 days out. For the first 5 days I was extremely nautious...I stopped taking the pain medication and have not had problems since. I don't know if that is what helped or if it just takes time...I feel much much better now and have noticed a remarkable difference each day that goes by...good luck
