Topic: Hair Loss
I had surgery in December and I find I am really losing a lot of hair. I know I need to eat more protein, any other suggestions? Has this happened to others?

ONE MORE DAY OF LIQUID DIET!!!! my surgery isn't until Friday, but the doctor and the hospital are three hours away. I have preop. later in the day and with luck that will be OK. then I will get a time for surgery Friday. With the prices of gas we will just stay there in town at a motel. I will never ever ever liquid diet again if I can help it...

thanks for the encouragement. I am praying that I make it through this. My surgery date is April 30th so just a week to go. I hope that I won't be so hungry after the band is put on. Do you know anything about that?

I am excited and nervous at the same time. I know this will be
good for me but I am starting to get a little scared. I guess it wouldn't
be normal if I weren't just a tad bit nervous. I am so exhausted from this
liquid diet. I have no energy and I am sick of these shakes. Anyone else
gone thru this? 2 weeks seems like a long time to go without food. Hope
to hear from someone soon.

Thank you so much for your encouragement, that's funny you should mention the energy level, mine has been gone for a couple of days. took all I could to walk around Walmart today, The hospital where I am having my surgery is three hours away, so they have my preop. thursday morning, so will be leaving in the morning and staying till the surgery Friday, Good luck and feel no pain..keep in touch.. sandy

Congrats on your loss. That is spectacular. Thanks so much for the kind words. I am getting a little nervous now. I've been excited, now all of a sudden I'm getting slightly stressed. I know everything will be fine. I'm glad to hear it was painless. I have heard there is not much pain, so Thank God For that one.
You need to update your profile with your new pictures. I know you must want to show off the new you.

Well, one year ago, on April 27, I had my RNY. I have lost 157.25 lbs since that time. I have about 100 to go...I am doing quite well.
I want to tell you it was painless. I had a great hospital stay. I hope the same for you.
