Good luck, Abbie! Keep us posted once you get back home. I like that we can always come to the "April 2008" message board and visit with those from the same surgery month. Have a great weekend... and don't veer far from home

Hi Mary, When you first click on "forms" that takes you to the main message board. You don't have to click "go" beside the "April 2008" (that brought you to us) Good luck, Laura

It's not that I can't keep them down... it's that I can't get them down in the first place! The pouch is so small right after surgery that it only holds about 1-2 oz. So, I haven't been hungry, but I'm trying to get in my protein drinks 1-2 oz at a time. So far, so good! The way I understand it with the lapband is that you won't really notice a difference in your food intake right after surgery, but will after you have your first fill. Good luck! Laura

I noticed you were from Missouri...I'm from Kansas City and about to get the Lap band on the 28th..wow Monday! What info were you given regarding the Realize band vs the Lap band? My surgeon gave me a choice, but I didn't see any differences except that they have a real neat web site with lots of resources. I'd appreciate you input. Hope all is well for you too!

Hooray for you!!! Your big day is just a few days away. My Lap Band surgery was 4/22 and overall I'm doing well. Just stuck a shake in the freezer to get it iced up a bit. Starting to get old?- a little bit, but so much how we feel is found between our two ears. I added cream of chicken soup to my daily list of foods yesterday- OK it was well drained and diluted heavily with chicken broth, but it was satisfying. Be sure to have a variety of things on hand. I'm so thankful for popsicles!! Who would have thought! I really am not that hungry and I know great things are in store. I wish you the VERY BEST and will be thinking of you Wednesday morning! Peace.

I'm just curious as to which surgery you had and why you're having so much trouble keeping liquids down. Is it because your not hungry or are you nausous. Just wondering so I will know what to expect. I am having lapband done Wednesday. Mary
