Hi all....
Question for anyone who can help.....
I started my journey in Feb '08 (first consult)
Have been seeing my PCP 2x per month
Dietitan @ surgeons office 1x
Which would make my trips 3x per month....When I had my April appointment with the dietitain, my cordinatior had me get the h-pylori test and medical clearance; now from reading everything here and the handouts, those tests wouldnt be given UNLESS there is a chance that my surgery will be sooner than later...I guess overall what I am asking : has anyone else had this happen??? With my insurance, at least 6 months to a year before the surgery occurs...Do I get excited yet?? They (surgeons office) said it could be sooner....Aye Aye Aye Aye.....Could anyone give me a heads up if possible???Thank you sooo much....

I had open RNY on 4/18. Things are going pretty well. Walking about a half mile per day since day 5. Took my last percocet last night. My back is the real discomfort. Settling into the routine vits, small portions. My only issue at this point in time is dealing with constipation. I'll call my MD tom. for some relief. Please go ahead and add me to your friend list . Look forward to sharing with you!

Congratulations and good luck on your surgery tomorrow!I'm sure your hubby is just nervous.This is a risky surgery and he probably doesn't want to let on about his fears.I had my surgery Feb. 07,everything turned out great.I've reached and exceeded my goals as I'm sure you will too. Nice to have a sense of humor while you are prepping for surgery....ha.
Why do you have to take Ducolax? What did you take for your "****tail". I had to drink a bottle of Phosphasoda yesterday and a bottle today. I am squecky clean....almost soap and water clean...ha. Sorry for the graphic content....I can't imagine if I had to take a Ducolax in addition.....yuck. Bless your heart.
Well, tomorrow it is over. In less than 12 hours I will be FINISHED with surgery. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. So, I'm going to bed and the next time I will be on here....I will officially be a loser. yippee...

I was originally going to have the band, but have changed my mind and am going to have rny. Longterm, according to research, there are less complications.

Typing as fast as I can since I drank my little ****tail at 5pm today! Think I might change into a Depends for the rest of the evening....oh, and I still need to wash down FOUR Ducolax tabs in another hour!!!! What fun....but the good part is that the wait is almost over!

your husband may be nervous most are this is a life changeing surgery
and they sometimes feel you will not want them after the weight is gone it's normal he' will some around .
