Topic: X POST: TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR SURGIVERSARY! (PICS INCLUDED)
Hello OH family! I've been away for a month or so, busy with life and dealing with some stuff, but I wanted to celebrate today with all of you who have been so supportive and encouraging to me over this last year. I have learned so much from you all, and hope that I have "paid it forward" to others who have come behind me. I'm down 115lbs since surgery and getting close to goal. I feel great and do not regret one bit of this entire weight loss journey. These pictures are from Easter last year, and Easter this year. Thanks again for all the help!

Wow! It's amazing the difference a year makes isn't it? Would we thought a year ago that we would be this far in our journeys. Now the hard come part comes, maintenenace.

AMAZING!!! You have done such a wonderful job! I just hope that I can do that well! I guess I am just so scared at being a failure again at losing weight. But you have done so awesome that there is a glimmer of hope within me telling myself that maybe just maybe I can do that too! You look wonderful!

Wow how time flies. One year ago today I was in surgery...Today I'm a totally different person than I was then...I started our 6 months prior to my surgery on medically supervised weight loss at aprox 435 pounds today i'm at 160 and am living a fairy tale. Thank you to everyone that has offered support to me throughout my journey.

I am right where you are and I'm thrilled...I just worry every day that I might gain a pound. I check my weight every day to see if there is any movement at all ....so I can catch it before it goes too far...my biggest issue is that I get sick with colds etc... alot and have a very hard time getting over them. I've been taking vitamin C and that seems to help some....I'm having my 48th birthday in April and I'm very much looking forward to being able to have a little bite of cake as last year I was just out of surgery and didn't want to chance even a bite... I'm a little less uptight about it within reason now. Well congratulations to everyone in our same boat and make this 12 month the best in your life. Bridget

It's my eleven month surgiversary this month as well. I'm down 146 pounds...and I went from 324 to 178. I am officially just "obese" now, as my BMI has dropped to 29.6. My original goal was 175 pounds. It seems like a lifetime ago that I set out to get down to the 170s and thought it was just a dream. Pound, by pound, I'm getting there. I will hit that goal, and then reassess. I look strong and I am healthy. I am wearing size 9 pants and large tops. I have lost a total of 140 inches. I thank God every day for my RNY!
