I'm glad you are doing so well and thank you for sharing. I have my surgery June 2 and it is so helpful when those who have gone before share their experiences. Keep up the good work.

I am guessing that 17 in the magic number because that is what I had lost at my first post of visit also. It was great to see the scale read that much lower lol. Keep up the good work everyone.

I had my surgery 4/29 and as of this morning have lost 15 lbs. I'm using FitDay to track my calories...getting in an average of about 750. I'm not having trouble getting the protein in, but the water is another story. I usually average about 42 oz or so, but I'm trying. I had open surgery, which is still very tender and hurts if I'm up and around too much, so I haven't started walking in earnest yet. I think when I am about 4 weeks out my body will tolerate it a little better. I found my binder from my tummy tuck I had years ago and that has been helping support my incision (which is mostly healed...the steri strips haven't all fallen off yet). Good Luck to everyone!

Hi All! I had my surgery on the 23rd and am feeling great! I haven't run into anything that bothers me too much -- and I love that eating less than 1/2 c. at each meal is completely satisfying! Broke a 5-day weight stall this morning, and am down 35 pounds. But even during the stall I wasn't worried because I KNEW that I was eating right, and definitely not consuming enough calories to actually gain weight Anyway, to me the "guilt free" living is the best thing about this surgery -- and not having to get up several times a night for bathroom breaks! Keep up the good work!

Hi- my surgery was April 17th. I was 275 the day of surgery- yesterday was 258. So that's 17lbs also! Doing well- some things fill me up too quickly I think. I have tried bread 3 times- doesn't agree with me. It's all learning and trial and error. I walked 3.6km with the dog yesterday. Briskly! It's still freezing up here in my neck of the woods! BM's ok, wounds all fine- struggle to get enough protein in daily. No trouble with the liquids. Burp A LOT more than I used to. Arthritis aches and pains less already. Sleep well- no pain. Had Lap RNY. Cheers!
