if i may ask what kind of surgery did you have too have only lost a pound im having bypass on june 10th and my dr says ill lose a pound a day for the first 90 days or so

Hi, my surgery was on the 28th. I weighed in that day at 261 and today I'm at 234. I'd love to say it's been easy, but it really hasn't. I've really struggled with nausea and weakness. I'm still not sure I made the right decision... I guess it's too late to second guess myself though, right? I just hope things improve soon.

Darlin', I feel your pain. Mine has stalled as well. I lost 18 pounds the first week, and only 9 in the next 3!!! I know that if you aren't getting enough fluids your body will hold onto fluids, so keep your fluid intake up and keep your salt intake in check. I hope we both pick up the pace soon! This just goes to show how different the post op directions are from doctor to doctor. Mine says NO fruit juice but yes to my chewable vitamins. I'm still as weak as a kitten, but I find that the more protein I can choke down the better I seem to do. I also do better the more fluids I can handle. I just had my surgery on the 28th, so I'm hoping for some relief, too. I hear that B12 deficiency causes weakness. Maybe your doc could check for that? Best of luck to you.

I woke up from my RNY on the 28th feeling WONDERFUL and continued that way for another day, but on the third day...the NAUSEA hit. I struggled with dry heaves which were controlled with meds, but the nausea, though not severe, never really leaves. Please tell me this won't last forever. I'm not sure I did the right thing having this surgery. This is agony.

Finally my scale is moving again.I will let you know what the outcome is the end of next week.I hate stalls.

...after two weeks.....guess it's better than nothing. I am due for my period too so maybe that has something to do with it....i do feel bloated lol.
