Hey Kim, I'm sorry to hear about this struggle you're having. My doc advised me to see a therapist before and after this surgery because it can be pretty hard on the psyche. Lots of these sites profess that depression is a problem post-operatively. You've just had a major life change as well as your body being invaded and cut up. I can't imagine it NOT messing with your mind. Please do see a professional, Kim. I take anti-depressants and have for years. You may need something to get you through this rough patch. It's hard to be healthy after this surgery if you only want to sleep and everything makes you mad. Don't let this beat you. Take all the steps you need to to stay healthy mentally and physically, and when you need our support, we're here. very best wishes, Kathy

Hi John! I miss gulping my tea, or anything else for that matter, too. I struggle with constant nausea. I've plateaued out a couple of times now, but it only usually last for about a week, then I start to lose again. Make sure you're eating enough because if you don't your body will think it's starving and hang onto everything it can. 6 tiny meals a day was what I was advised to do. Hang in there and do try to focus on the positives, and when you can't and need a shoulder, we're here. Best, Kathy

Kathy , hi, Where do you get the Proteinex tablets? I found them in a liquid form, but not tablets. Could you forward me the website? Thank you! Elena

Great News. Looking at all the possitives, it almost seems like the negatives are more like small annoyances. Although I was not on any meds prior to my RNY, I have been an insomniac for the last 5 years, mainly because of my weight. Since my surgery 4/15 I have been sleeping almost 7.5 hrs every night. It is hard to describe how great it feels to wake up and not be a zombie, or just being able to fall asleep before the sun comes up. The one thing that has helped me get through my 2 week stall was being aware that my body is doing what it needs to do, and it is NOT my FAULT. So keep a positive attitude and when the stalls come remember they will pass.

Okay so the real name is Oikos it is Organic and made by Stoneyfield Farms. I had the Blueberry and have to say it is Yummy. It has little blueberries mixed in so it has a little texture. I actually bought it at Wal-Mart.

How is everyone doing? Reasons to be grateful: I am down 25 pounds since surgery, and 48 pounds since February. Off all (5 diabetic medications), off blood pressure medication, down to 40 waist from a 44. Can wear XL shirts instead of XXL. No more snoring! Sleeping through the night without getting up to use the bathroom. My wife can reach around and hug ALL of me.http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/tongue.gif Negatives: occasional nausea, can't gulp down my cold iced tea any more, am at a plateau (or stall) for the past two weeks. How is everyone else doing?
