Congrats on your weight loss! You are doing a super job! As for the stall, I am in one AGAIN! I am so sick of stalls but I guess there is nothing we can do about them. I keep telling myself the loss will continue when my body is ready. Hang in there.

Just a quick update that I've lost a total of 122 in 4 months. I haven't noticed any hair loss. But the wieght is slowly coming off now. I guess I am at a stall with this. I dnt know what you think?

Oh yeah, on the breakfast question...Trader Joe's has a greek yogurt in a 5oz container, that's 114 calories and 14 grams of protein. Love that. Also, there's a Special K cereal that has protein in it...3/4 of a cup of cereal has 100 calories and 10 grams of protein. These get me going in the morning!

Hi, I had the VSG on April 18th of this year and have lost 56 lbs as of today...you are on track with the averages I've seen reported. So don't feel like a failure! According to my doctor (Cirangle) you are eating too many calories...you should be eating between 600-800 calories (for a woman), 70 gms of protein and drinking 64 oz of water per day. When I don't pay attention to this formula, the weight loss slows. Hope that helps!

Hey Margo, Glad to hear all is going well with you! I have lost 54 pounds and was wearing size 22- now I'm wearing 16's and feeling great. Exercising times a week, but even at home and work are now considered places to work out. I am active and happy. Keep it going! Susan

I am almost 4 months post op. I have been taking biotin religiously since 1 month preop. My hair is falling out fast. Yes, I just colored it for the first time in 4 months figuring if its going to fall out it should look good in the process. I ended up having my hair cut into long layers and it looks better.

I had my surgery April 29th and I am down exactly 50 lbs since the morning of the big day. Total of 155 lbs since my start in June of 07'. I am getting so much energy, Best thing I have ever done in my life was to have this surgery I too needed to finally go clothes shopping, I bought from a store in town, The last time I had bought from a store was at least 25 years ago.. I had to always go through Roaman's, So this was really fun.... I have a long way to go but this is definitely a great plateau

I would think so, but I am really not an expert. I am 4 months out myself, and just dyed my hair. I literally lost a full palmfull of hair!!! Very scary, I thought I was going to have huge patches of bald spots. I am off to GNC to get some Biotin and see if there is anything else I can do to slow this down so that I don't go looking like Shanade OConnor. My personal advice would be to strenghten the hair w/ vitamins & maybe some Rogain before putting chemicals on it.
