Hi, this is my first post and I am currently on the Opti-fast diet - pre op and just searching out any one who has had lap band surgery from The Surgical Weight Loss Centre in Missisauga, ON. Looking for new friends who have gone through this or are waiting to go through this such as myself. I'm only on day 4 of the Opti-fast diet and I'm sick of the taste. I just keep telling myself - short term pain - LONG TERM GAIN - LOL :)

Good Morning..... Thank-You for the reply. David and I are doing medifast right now, day 3. protein is 80+ and calories is 650 approx.. Our dietician makes us write out 2 complete pureed and soft diet menus before surgery. I've been working on those and found it to be very challenging. We are on a liguid diet for 1 day then 2 weeks of pureed post-op, how about your diets? Oh, we also have to submit our grocery lists, too. Our surgeon is Dr. Curry in Cincinnati, OH, which is not far for us. Him and his staff are very friendly and helpful. I like traveling this journey with my husband. He's not doing the work yet but he will because I work weekends and he'll have to learn his way around the blender and microwave! Keep me posted...

Congrat's to both of you..... That's my day too!!! I can't wait. I am doing the protein drinks right now 2 times a day..... yuk, but I'll do anything to finally get this done. Having the lap band as well!!!! Good luck!!! :~)

Hi Mica, That is my surgery date too, April 1. I am having it with Dr. Jones in Boston. I'm getting nervous and excited too. I went today for my appointment with the anesthesiologist. All went well. This is it until the surgery . I'm having the lap band. What type of surgery are you having? We will have to keep each other posted. Good luck! I'll say a prayer for you.
