9 month reports due here
Hi all,
I had RNY on April 21, 2008 starting weight was 265 today I weighed 145. I went from a size 22 to a size 6. My only problem so far was I had to have my gallbladder out a month ago. Same surgeon did my gallbladder and all is well now.
I have never been happier.
I am enjoying life including my incredible 14 month old grandson that I have the stamina to play with.
Good luck to all

It's hard to believe that it's been over 9 months. I had my RNY on April 1st. The morning of my surgery I weighed 280lbs. I am now at 158. According to my Dr's office I have lost 105 percent of my excess weight. I'm now wearing 8-10's and a M shirt. Now it's just a matter of where I want to stop. My original goal was 175, who thought I would get that small, then it was under 160, now it's 145, which is the middle of my weight range. I have a plastic consult at a local teaching hospital for my arms and breasts scheduled next month. My arms are what bother me the most. I want to be able to wear short sleeves and tanks this summer.
What a journey this has been. I've had minimal issues. My biggest tissue is eating too fast. I do well with my portion sizes. The NUT thinks that I may have some malabsorption with protein, so I have to shoot for a minimum of 100g. I've had some anemia so my energy isn't want it should be.
I love my RNY!

I went from 238 on April 21, 2008 to 134. I am now stalled and teetering back and forth 2-3 lbs. I don't think I eat enough protein sometimes and also I have been eating and drinking closer together than I am suppose to. I need to start doing better with that. If anyone can, could you send me a day or two of what your diet is like at 9 month so I know how in check mine is with Food and Water? I still take my vitamins and a daily protein shake but other than that sometimes I don't eat as well as I plan to. Nothing too serious just not as much yogurt as I use to and sometimes I only eat a few pieces of fruit, 1/2c meat (whatever it may be) and a piece of toast for my daily meals. Any ideas? I want to hit this 119. Please help. Thanks
I hit my 9 month mark yesterday. I started at 344, and am down to 210 (134# down). I was really hoping to be at the 199 mark by now, but I know it will come. I have been in a major stall since christmas, but I am trying to up my exercise hoping that will help.
I started at a 5x shirt and 32/34 pant, and am down to a 1x shirt at 18 pant. I feel great, getting a little sick of the skin already, and I have like 40-50 pounds to go. I am hoping that since I have not lost any weight as of recent that my exercising is helping my abs. I look fairly good in clothes with my under body armor on to hold everything in.
My hair loss has slowed significantly which I am very glad of.
The only thing I am having trouble with is being cold. I wear long underwear and a turtle neck under everything righ now. It doesn't help that the temps have been below zero the last few days here.
I have been a little bummed the last few days about the stall, but my hubby has been supportive and trying to encourage me. He even says that if I stay where I am, he is still proud of me. I know I can do more, and might just have to work at it, but I WILL GET TO MY GOAL!!!!
I go for my labs next week, and hoping that everything is still on track.
Happy Birthday to all the April folks!!!

I ahd my surgery on April 1, I have lost 106 pounds. I am stalled and it drives me nuts, I workout at the gym 4-5 days a week, lots of cardio and weightlifting. I get over 100 grams of protien each day, and drink my water. I eat what I have figured out not enough carbs, I am working on that. I track my fitness and food on fitday each day. I want to lose 40 more pounds, but anwway otherwise strong, healthy and doing great!!
