April 14th now 45 days later, I have reasons to smile

Just last month on 14th of April I had the gastric bypass, I started at I've lost a total of 75 pounds within the 45 days. WoW Im doing things now that I havent done in 10 years...lol ..........good luck to everyone who is even considering this surgery and to those who have been brave enough to have it.

Wow....75lbs in 45 days thats alot of weight lost in a short period of time.Share you secrets.I lost 34 lbs prior to surgery and 23 lbs since surgery on The 18th of April. Congrats!!!

You must share your details, BMI, start weight, current weight and what the heck are you doing that we arent! I had RNU on 4/16 and am only down 23 pounds post op. Please share your diet, exercise plan, everything!!!

I have lost the same amt as you have.My surgery was on the 18th.Im just worried that I am not losing like I should.I hope my weight loss is the norm and that im not lagging behind.Whats your thoughts?

I had my surgery April 15th, and I too feel like I'm losing really slowly! I am down 37 pounds... don't get me wrong, I am feeling great, but I want to have lost 75 pounds by now too!!!!! Please tell us how you did it!!!

My start weight was 387 with a bmi of 60.6. Now on 6/26/08 weight is 295 with a bmi of 46.4. I just eat normal now. No fried foods, alot of fish, shrimp, grilled stuff. I can't do hamburger meat. Just turkey meat. I walk almost everyday.

Ok, you must share your secret. I had surgery the same date as you and am down 28 pounds since surgery. How much did you have to lose overall, that will make a difference as well. I was worried I was losing slow, but I guess I fit along with all of you who have also lost 20 something pounds since surgery. Rahsheeda

Hi. I actually started @ 387 day of surgery. Plus my bmi was a 60.6. I now am at 295 bmi of 46.4.So I still got around 115 to go. so...that will great.

i had surgery april 21 and i had to lose 26 before an ive lost 36 since so i guess im about the same i worry because i can go 5 days or more with out losing most people tell me i dont get enough calories but im worried because i cant eat that much

I had surgery April 21st and I am down 28 lbs. Us worry warts seem to be pretty close in weight loss. I say "let's hang in there and it will come off". I do feel better that most of us are around the same weight loss. It will take time!
