I had my VSG 4/29/208. I have lost about 16 lbs I feel like I lost more, hopefully my scale is broke. LOL. I too think I am losing weight to slow. I weighed 362 and the scale now says 346. I have a long way to go and I thought being so heavy that I would have lost 25lbs or more the first two weeks. I thought the weight would be falling of me daily. Wonder what I am dong wrong. I go back to the Dr on the 30th. I hope I have lost at least 25 by then. I feel like I will never be able to eat anything more solid then cottage cheese. I tried and I get this aweful feeling like a rock in my sleeve. Feels terrible. Hopefully that will change in few weeks. l love Cambell's creamy potato soup but after one can my Dietician screamed at me. So I never ate it again but it took me 3 days to eat the can and boy did I enjoy it. LOL Any advice or recipes would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I also had my surgery on April 29th and the weight loss has slowed way down. I think I lost a total of 3 pounds this wee****ep reading on this board that a lot of people experience this around the 3 week mark, but wow is it hard!! It is so easy to start slipping back to that old frame of mind where you think that no matter what you do, it will never happen. We just have to keep our chin up and hope for the best! Good luck to you! Lisa

My scale does seem to working either for the last two weeks it does seem to have changed given a pound or two. I had my surgery 4-25-08. I hope it will start to change once our bodies come out of starvation mode. I just yesterday tried half a sandwich for the first time it was so good. I'm so sick of soup. Lets keep moving on. I decided to start walking more.

I've lost a total of 37 pounds since 4/4... but only 2 pounds in the last 10 days. I finally started eating and exercising and I think my body is just repairing itself from the forced starvation that we've been through. So far, I'm still excited! Laura

Darlin', I feel your pain. Mine has stalled as well. I lost 18 pounds the first week, and only 9 in the next 3!!! I know that if you aren't getting enough fluids your body will hold onto fluids, so keep your fluid intake up and keep your salt intake in check. I hope we both pick up the pace soon! Best of luck to you.

I too had my surgery on 04/15 and have lost about 22 since day of surgery. My clothes seem loser so I know I'm losing something, but the scale doesn't seem to move much( a pound or two). I was told that it will reach like a plateau and then will drop again.. Very impatient and waiting for that drop though... So i definetly feel your pain.

Gosh, everyone sounds just like me. I expect to loose weight everymorning when I weigh, and I know that's just not possible. I'm 3 1/2 wks post op and have lost 20 pounds, but I sure would like to see a quicker loss.
