RNY after Nissen fundoplication??

Has anyone on here had RNY that has had a fundoplication previously? I had a fundoplication in 1997 at MGH for an incarcerated hiatal hernia. I was scheduled for RNY at Mass General Hospital in 2005 with Sheldon Randall, MD but it was canceled because I did not have the $1000 that MGH charged that my insurance at the time wouldnt cover. I am not going to see him on June 2nd at Lawrence Memorial in Medford. The doctor at MGH (Rattner) who performed my fundoplication told me that he would be the best surgeon for me having had that fundoplication as it makes the RNY much more complicated. Sally

Hi pinksweatergal....I know you posted this a very long time ago, but wondering if you had the rny procedure done.  i had a nissen fundo done 3 years ago and getting ready to have the gastric bypass.  If you are still on here....please share your story with me.  Thanks
