Looking for April surgery friends
My band was done on the 21st and I think I am healing okay. I am not used to being down for any length of time so that is the hardest part. I still have a ton of gas pain which is just really annoying but other than that am ok. I have been walking up and down the street every day my neighbors must think I am crazy. Just started to actually eat some things like jello, protein drinks, broth. I feel like I am keeping it down fine but eat very little. It will take some time to get used to all of this. To think of having a new leash on life is just a blessing and I am thankful. Would love to hear how everyone else is doing. I did have the REalize Band done and wondered if anyone else had done that.
It is Friday and my surgery was on Monday. I FINALLY got out of the house and went to a few garage sales with a friend this morning and two hours later I was wiped out. I haev to say my pain is really just fine. I think it takes some time to get your energy back though. I would recommend easing back into work a few hours at a time if you have any control over that.
Gay, I can identify with your comments about being wiped out, I had surgery on Tuesday and am playing for a wedding today- nothing elaborate, short and sweet. And of course my precious husband will be there. I do hope I get through it without getting too worn out. Playing for church in the morning will be a little more involved, but I think I can, I think I can- with His help I will. Hope you continue to do well. Peace.
Hi Kim,
My laparoscopic RNY is April 30th! Cannot wait. Have a few questions, perhaps you can help me. Can you wear a bra post-op in the hospital, does it effect small upper incisions. Did you just wear a hospital gown. Goofy questions but I NEED to know how someone else handled this. I would like to stay in contact with someone in the same basic timeline as me. Many thanks,
Andrea
