Hey all! I had my RNY on April 10th, and got home today. I am really really really did I say really sore. I am wearing my Binder which helps a whole lot. I still have my JG tube think that's what it's called. I am doing so much better now that I am finally home. Thanks for listening

I'm so happy to hear all is well and you made it home. Nothing like sleeping in your own bed to get a nights sleep. How goes the post op diet? Susan

Hi there. You are officially my first post on this site. I had my RNY on April 14 and got home yesterday (April 18). I am sore too, but really only around my belly button. Is that normal? I am so very excited about this process. I am so happy that it is over, and I look forward to my results. I need this to work! If you would like to chat, I'd love to! Rebec

Hi there! I also had surgery on the 14th. My tummy is still sore around the incisions. Still, it's much better than yesterday and so much better than the day before! I still have my drain. I know I'll feel much better getting rid of that. Take care! Shirlyn

Every day we will feel better, get stronger, and... be healthier! Last night I had my first real bout of "post hospital nausea." I tried two different broths and neither tasted good AT ALL, so I didn't eat it. (Is anyone else finding that their pallet is changing?) After finally finding something I could eat, I ended up feeling very, very nauseated. I ended up sipping ginger tea and felt better. Another weird thing... my incisions don't really hurt, however, the left of my belly button does. I feel a pull every time I get up from a horizontal position. What is odd is that it isn't where incision is! Is anyone else experiencing this? I hope all is well, Rebec

Had my surgery on the 18th and I have the same symptoms you have, EXACTLY. I am new to this blog, but my nausea is horrible. I also have a weird metallic taste in my mouth. Let me know if you find out anything that will help...

Hi friends! Lately, I've been spending the majority of my time on the lightweights board. Ha, I've never been light anything! It makes me happy. I have been drinking tons and tons of ginger tea. It is the only thing that touches my nausea at all. I sort of wish I had a binder! That left-to-the-belly-button sore is killin' me! Rebec

I had RNY on 4/16. The best thing a nurse told me was to take chewable GASX with discomfort or if I felt sick. She said it relieves all the feelings of sickness. I have taken it now for the last four days and havent taken pain meds since! I haven't vomited once! I truly believe its due to the GASx! I would love to add you guys as friends so we can share our progress since our dates about the same.
