Anyone else on the 25th?

I am scheduled to be banded on the 25th. I am excited and nervous. Everyday, I question myself on if I really want to do this. The answer is always "yes". I can't wait and have learned soooo much from these message boards.

Hi, I am scheduled for May 28th.... for the sleeve,,,,, I to have the same type of feelings, but I know this for me....banded....why?

I went back and forth on which procedure was right for me. I researched both and asked a lot of questions. I defintely want the results of the bypass, but not the unknown. I don't want the dumping and/or the malabsorbtion. I have had several people ask me what I will do if I don't get the results I hope from the band. Right now, I don't plan on getting anything else. The band is a tool to help me in changing my life. I plan on following all the recommendations and let the band help me.

Becky I am not having lapband but am having VSG so I wanted to let you know that I will be sending positive thoughts to your surgeon on the 25th. Anxious and scared is normal so take something with you that comforts you. I am 41 and will be taking my butterfly pillow to hug when it is over. I am scheduled for a Gastric Bypass April 29th..and I know how you feel girl! I started questioning myself too, but I stay positive...I know it is hard, but all I keep thinking about is my two children and how I am going to be able to go out and play with thwm a lot easier when this is all done..Good luck to you and I will be thinking of you...and praying for you.
