I'm day 4 post-op and I feel like S*^%! Yesterday, I nearly got so dehydrated I almost had to go back to hospital. I called the Dr. He said flu is going around. I just can't believe how naseous I am - all the time and terrible headached. I feel so weak. I have no fever. I just wasn't expecting to be this sick - after 4 days. I don't really have any pain - just sick to my stomach. Will this all be worth it? I feel so awful right now. I hope tomorrow is better.

Hi Jill, Hang in there it IS worth it. I'm almost 3 years post op. It was rough and I still struggle with emotional eating but I've managed to keep my weight off. I started at 256 and I've been 128 for the past year. I have so much more confidence, energy and satisfaction in my life. Mary

Jill, from all the blogs I've ready everyone has asked themselves that same question at some point. You'll get through this, and when the weight starts coming off, it will all be worth it. Hang in there!

YES YES YES!!!! Its worth it. I am 5 weeks post op and if you read my blog I was in quite a bit of pain much more than i anticipated. But each day will get a little better. All of a sudden you will be 2 weeks post op and feeling better. I wish you all the luck and I hope you are feeling better soon. Rita

I'm feeling much better now...day 6...amazing what a difference 2 days can make. Maybe I did have a virus or bug of some sort. Now, I am starving hungry!! My "lower" stomach growls (really loudly) almost constantly. I will admit the hunger pangs are not as strong as they were before the band, but I am hungry. Has anyone else had this problem? It's really embarassing, my stomach "talking" all the time. I'm keeping up on my protein, to try to curb the hunger, but the rumbling and growling continues. I went to Wal-Mart for the first time last night with my 2 daughters to stock up on "snack foods" for them. That was really difficult for me. I was very hungry, and felt really SAD that I can't eat anything right now (I'm still on liquids.) Everything in the store looked so good, like I'd never seen food before.
